The cheapest time of year to replace your roof depends on various factors.

In general, roofing materials tend to be less expensive during the winter months, when demand is lower. Roofing suppliers generally increase prices in the spring, prior to the high demand of roofing season.

In addition, some roofing contractors may also offer discounts to help generate business during the slower winter months. Of course, it depends, but it never hurts to ask.

It's always a good idea to get quotes from several different roofing contractors to compare prices and ensure that you are getting the best deal. Additionally, you may be able to negotiate a lower price by agreeing to pay cash or by using discontinued or overstocked roofing materials, which oftentimes the suppliers will sell at a discount.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that if your roof is leaking and you know you need a new roof, it will be cheaper to purchase a roof sooner than later to insure you prevent any further damage and expense.
